Wrennie Morgan, Jr. Obituary

Wrennie Morgan Jr. was born on January 7, 1948. He was the first born child of Rev. Wrennie Morgan
Sr. and Eugenia Johnson Morgan. His family and friends always called him Junior. He grew up in a
loving family with his parents and his sister Sarah in Jenkintown, PA. He graduated from Jenkintown
High School in 1965 and attended Cheyney University. He was a free spirit and was at the 1969
Woodstock Music festival. Junior was an avid sports fan and he loved the Eagles and the 76ers. After
the death of his father he spent many years as a caretaker to his mother.
One of the two happiest days of his life was July 9, 2010 in Chicago at his Morgan-Mitchell family
reunion when he met his daughter Morgan McDonough and his granddaughter
Bailey McDonough-Nuzum who lived in California. The second day was September 1, 2012 when he
walked his daughter down the aisle at her wedding in Lodi, California. They remained very close and
in 2019 he spent a marvelous week in California with his daughter Morgan, son-in-law Michael and his
granddaughters Bailey and Maddison. It has been said that there is never enough time, however he had
twelve wonderful years with his daughter Morgan. He was preceded in death by his niece Margaret E.
Powell, first cousin James Benton Sr. and uncle Samuel Johnson.
Wrennie passed away on October 24, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory: his daughter Morgan Rheem, son-in-law Michael Rheem, granddaughters Bailey McDonough-Nuzum and Maddison Rheem, his sister Sarah Powell, brother-in-
law William (Ski) Powell, his niece Charlene Fossum, nephew Carl Fossum and grandnephews Caleb Fossum and Peter Fossum, his first cousins, Barbara Simpson, Patricia Holt, and Sarah Grant, his aunt
Lola Winkfield and numerous other cousins and friends.
